Dear JC Family,
By now you should know that we will be having worship this Sunday but not in our usual way. Bro. Charles sent out an email earlier about how to connect with us on Sunday morning. I appreciate all the hard work that Charles has been doing to make this available to Journey Church. I assure you it ain't easy.
Although I would rather be meeting personally with all of you at the Building but that is not possible. It is important for us, as believers, to be good examples to our community by following what our Government, State and Local officials are recommending that we do during this pandemic. Yes, I know it is interrupting our routines and plans but we must be vigilant and preserve.
Be patient. Be supportive. Be praying.
A word of Encouragement
Tonight I am going to encourage you to do something that may seem odd or out of place.
Our theme tonight is " Count your Blessing ".
Read Ephesians 1:3 and James 1:17
In times of crisis, especially what we are all going through, it is important for us to remember.
Remember how God has been so good to us. Just because we are experiencing hard times now does not mean that God is not good.
Take some time right now, make a list of 10 Blessings that God has given you. Don't forget things like your salvation, the forgiveness of sin, your family, friends and your Church family.
Read 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Our world is watching how we, as the Body of Christ, are responding, acting, and behaving during this crisis.
Let us be found faithful, encouraging, uplifting to our community.
Late this afternoon I went for a walk, to clear my mind and get some fresh air. I passed a couple who were walking and just said " Hang in there, the Lord is taking care of us. Read John 14:27 ".
Let us continue to Be the Church !
Be watching our webpage for updates, devotions and of course our worship this Sunday morning at 10:30. Read Bro. Charles' email.
